True growth comes from
challenge, not comfort.Growth comes from
friction.
Physically demanding challenges built to reveal what you're actually capable of, for individuals, families, and teams ready to stop avoiding what's hard.
The physical is the tool.
The growth is the point.
Every challenge is 6, 12, or 24 hours of real physical difficulty: mud, exhaustion, the urge to quit. Not because fitness is the goal. Because what shows up when your body wants to stop is exactly what shows up everywhere else in your life, in your parenting, your relationships, your business. Growth by Friction uses the physical to surface it, on purpose, in a group, where you can't hide.
It starts with the parent. You can't ask your kids to sit with something hard if you've never shown them you can yourself. That's the belief underneath every challenge here — and underneath Raise Them With Paula, the everyday side of the same philosophy.
The friction isn't the goal.
Who you become because of it, is.
Every hour you spend facing something hard, on purpose, does something unexpected. It reconnects you, with yourself, with your kids, with your partner, with the people you work with. Growth by Friction isn't just about getting stronger alone, it's about closing the distance that avoiding hard things quietly creates.
Reconnected with yourself
Most of the noise in our lives comes from avoiding what's uncomfortable. Face it on purpose, and what's left is a clearer sense of who you actually are.
Reconnected with your kids
You can't teach your kids to sit with discomfort if you've never practiced sitting with your own. The trust you build by trying is what closes the distance between you.
Reconnected with your partner
The version of you that can stay steady under pressure here is the same version that stops keeping score at home. That steadiness is what a relationship actually feels.
Reconnected with your team
The moment you want to quit on a challenge is the same moment you want to quit on the people counting on you. Train one, and you strengthen the other.
Sized right for who's doing it.
The 6-Hour Challenge
The right length and intensity for parents and kids to go through something hard together, side by side, and come out closer, not just exhausted.
The 12-Hour Challenge
Deep enough to break old patterns. This is where most people meet the version of themselves they didn't know was there.
The 24-Hour Challenge
The full experience. Physically extreme, emotionally unfiltered, done alongside people who are just as exposed as you are.
Fitness says nothing about who thrives here. Willingness does.
The Family Weekend
A full weekend built specifically for families: shared physical challenge combined with wellness, rest, and real connection. Currently in development.
Built for however you want to grow.
Individuals
Growth doesn't stay in one part of your life. The version of you that learns to sit with discomfort here becomes a steadier partner, a calmer parent, a more grounded person everywhere else. The 6, 12, and 24-Hour Challenges are built for anyone ready to find out what they're actually made of, no title or role required.
Families
Raising capable, resilient kids starts with parents who know what they're made of. A full Family Weekend, combining challenge with wellness and rest, is currently in development.
Entrepreneurs & teams
Building something hard doesn't get easier because you avoid discomfort, it gets harder. Private corporate events and 1:1 mentoring for founders and teams who want to train the part of them that doesn't quit.
